What’s body image? We’ll give you a hint: everyone has one! It’s how you feel about your body, NOT how it actually looks. Unfortunately, many of us have negative body image, meaning many of us feel bad about our bodies.
It can be hard to love our bodies due to the messages from the media that sell us the idea that we’re not okay the way we are. Sometimes these messages come from other places as well: our peers, our coaches, and sometimes even our doctors.
It’s important to find ways of loving ourselves the way we are, after all, we are supposed to feel good about ourselves! It’s good for us, and we all deserve to feel healthy and beautiful as we all truly are.
